Is Ounie really free?+
Yes. Your first brain is free forever, with no credit card required. You can upload sources, build your wiki and knowledge graph, ask cited questions, and share publicly on the free plan — upgrade only when you need more brains, credits, or an AI team.
How do the plans differ?+
Free gives you one brain to try everything. Pro ($12.99/mo, or $9.99/mo billed annually) is the personal tier — unlimited brains, more questions, API & MCP access. Studio (from $50/mo) adds your own AI Team workspace and a monthly credit allowance you size yourself, from 4,000 to 16,000 credits. Team (from $300/mo) adds collaborators, shared brains, and larger allowances from 24,000 up to 80,000 credits. Enterprise adds SSO, audit, and custom volume.
How do credits work?+
Credits are the fuel for the work Ounie does for you: running the Ounie apps — the growing catalog that turns your brain into carousels, courses, content, sales calls, UGC videos, and more — plus design passes, research, the feed, widget questions beyond your included bundle, and your AI team's compute. On Studio and Team you pick your monthly credit volume from a dropdown and can change it anytime — the allowance resets monthly. Asking your own brains questions never uses credits, and neither do restyles, publishes, or edits.
What doesn't use credits?+
Your own questions (they're a plan quota — 5,000/mo on Pro, 15,000 on Studio, 100,000 on Team, with a non-expiring 1,000-question bank on Free), your included widget-question bundle, editing your wiki, restyling or publishing sites, and swiping the feed. An idle AI team sleeps and uses next to nothing.
What if I run out of credits mid-month?+
Move up a rung (prorated, takes effect immediately) or buy a one-time credit pack — pack credits never expire and cover any overage. Unused monthly credits don't roll over.
Do I have to pay for setup?+
No — building it yourself is free on any plan. Done-for-you is optional: our Standard Launch implementation is a one-time $1,500 that sets up your brain, installs the assistant, prepares your AI Team workspace, and configures your first workflow. Your Ounie subscription is billed separately, and larger rollouts (integrations, migrations, multiple agents) get a custom quote.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Paid plans are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime from your billing settings — you keep access through the end of the period, and your brains and sources stay intact when you return to the free plan.
