Using Ounie
Brain Lab & brain sets
Blend one of your brains with an expert advisor brain into a single, dual-cited answer — then copy a ready-made prompt or snippet to use the same answer anywhere.
What a brain set is#
A brain set is a primary brain — the authoritative source for your facts — blended with one or more advisor brains that add expertise: phrasing, structure, strategy, a playbook. You ask once, and Ounie answers from both, citing every claim back to the brain it came from. Primary facts stay authoritative; an advisor shapes the answer but never overrides your facts, and when your brains disagree the answer says so.
Brain Lab#
Brain Lab (under Lab in your dashboard) is where you compose a blend. Pick a primary brain, add one or more advisors — from your own brains, or from Explore (public and paid marketplace brains, searchable and filterable by free or paid) — then ask a question. The answer renders with color-coded citations so you can see exactly which brain each fact came from.
What it costs#
Blending brains you own is a single question from your monthly allowance — no credits. Credits only come into play when an advisor is a paid marketplace brain: you pay its per-question price in credits, and only when that advisor actually contributes to the answer.
Take it anywhere#
Once a blend works, the Ship it tabs give you the same answer on any surface: a ready-made prompt to paste into Claude, ChatGPT, or your connectors; or — on Team — an API and MCP call. Save your selection as a reusable brain set to get a stable id for those calls. See the REST API and MCP for the developer surfaces.
