Getting started
Quickstart
From sign-up to your first cited answer in a few minutes. No setup, no configuration — just add what you know and start asking.
1. Create a brain#
Sign up and create your first brain from the dashboard. Give it a name that matches what it will hold — a project, a course, a client, a hobby. You can make more later.
2. Add a few sources#
Add three or four things to start. Paste a link, upload a PDF, or type a note. Ounie reads each one in the background and turns it into a wiki page — you will see sources move from processing to ready as it goes. Adding a handful first gives your answers something to connect.
3. Ask a question#
Open the Ask tab and ask something your sources can answer. You will get a written answer with citations linking back to the exact pages it came from. Follow a citation to read the source in context. If the answer is not in your brain yet, Ounie says so — add more and ask again.
4. Keep adding#
A brain gets better the more it holds. Connect your tools so saving is effortless, and your knowledge compounds instead of scattering. Next, read Concepts to understand what is happening under the hood, or jump to Connectors.
